Outdoor Tile & Surface Care

Outdoor & Pressure Washing Sydney

Remove built-up grime, algae, dirt, and outdoor contamination from suitable tiled and hard surface areas, cleaned with the pressure and method your surface actually calls for.

Sydney's outdoor areas don't stay clean on their own, and they don't all get dirty the same way.

Between coastal humidity, seasonal rain and long dry spells, Sydney’s climate gives algae and moss exactly what they need to take hold on shaded patios, pool surrounds and south-facing paving. Add falling leaves, garden run-off, everyday foot traffic and airborne dust, and most outdoor tiled or hard surfaces are carrying a mix of organic and general contamination within a year of being installed  even when they’re swept and rinsed regularly.

The surface underneath that grime matters just as much as the grime itself. A honed sandstone pool surround, a glazed porcelain patio and an exposed aggregate driveway all respond differently to water pressure, heat and cleaning agents. That’s the part a generic pressure washing visit tends to skip and the part we start with.

Results depend on the surface, the age of the contamination and how it was sealed or maintained. We’ll always tell you honestly what to expect during your inspection, rather than promise a result before we’ve seen the surface.

How We Work

Our Outdoor Cleaning Process

The same sequence, every time , because the order protects the surface.

01

Inspect Surface

We walk the area and check the condition, wear, sealant and existing damage before anything is switched on.

02

Identify Material

Ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, concrete, or pavers—the material determines everything that follows.

03

Prepare Area

Furniture, plants and drainage points are protected, and loose debris is cleared first.

04

Apply Suitable Cleaning Treatment

Where needed, a treatment suited to the material and the contamination is applied to loosen build-up before pressure is used.

05

Controlled Pressure Cleaning

Pressure, nozzle, and technique are set for that specific surface and not run at a single default setting across the job.

06

Final Rinse & Inspection

The area is rinsed clear and checked with you, so you can see the result before we finish up.

Why It Matters

Pressure Washing Isn't One Size Fits All

Most pressure washing companies run one setting on every job. We treat the surface first and the dirt second because the wrong pressure on the right surface still causes damage.

Surface

Common Risk

Approach

Notes

Natural Stone

Pitting, surface etching

Lower pressure, stone-safe method

Sandstone, travertine and limestone are softer than they look and need care.

Concrete

Surface pitting on worn slabs

Higher pressure where the slab allows it

Sealed or freshly finished concrete is treated more gently.

Pavers

Joint sand loss, edge lifting

Angled pressure, joint-aware technique

We avoid blasting straight down into joints wherever possible.

Ceramic Tile

Glaze scratching, grout erosion

Moderate pressure, wide fan tip

Grout lines are checked before cleaning; worn grout takes less pressure well.

Before & After

Outcomes depend on the stone type, how deep any scratching or etching goes, and its overall condition; restoration refines and revives stone, it doesn’t reinvent it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you pressure clean outdoor tiles?

Yes. Outdoor ceramic and porcelain tiles are one of the surfaces we work with most often. We check the glaze, grout condition and wear before setting our pressure and nozzle choice.

It can, if the pressure, distance or technique isn’t matched to the tile and grout. That’s why identifying the material is a fixed step in our process, not an optional extra.

Yes. Pool surrounds are usually shaded, damp and prone to algae, so they get particular attention on stone and porcelain surrounds.

In most cases, yes. Surface algae responds well to the right treatment and controlled pressure. Deep or long-term staining underneath the algae isn’t always fully removable, and we’ll be upfront about that during inspection.

Yes, patios are one of our core outdoor areas, including tiled, stone and paved patios and surrounding entertaining spaces.

Yes, but at lower pressure and with a stone-appropriate method. Sandstone, travertine and limestone are softer than concrete or ceramic and are treated accordingly.

Cost depends on the surface material, the size of the area and the level of build-up present. We provide a free, obligation-free quote after a quick look at the area or photos.
